Image
Steve Jobs resigned from Apple at the time while he was focusing on the launch of the NeXT computer and he heard the establishment that George Lucas had on a group of creative people that were trying to acquire making a computer generated animation movie. This was in 1986 and there wasn't the technology established yet to create animation, Jobs had his group focus on saleable products. The first product was the Pixar Image Computer, it produced high resolution at the price of $135,000. Only about 100 of them were sold to intelligence and hospitals agencies. It took 10 years for Pixar to raise money to kickstart the company, John Lasseter would make short animations to make money for the company. It wasn't until the release of Toy Story in '96 that was the first success that saved the company from bankruptcy. Jobs and Lasseter teamed up on the idea to make computer generated animation from the inspiration of using technology to tell stories. Since they had children they wa

Selena Quintanilla Series Review

Image
As you may know Netflix has produced a Series based on Selena during her up-rise to fame as the icon she is today. The series itself wasn't very well it didn't emulate the personality and charisma that Selena is known to have, she was very unsure of herself, shy and timid. The wigs from the show were not good either, they weren't blended and didn't really accurately represent the Quintanilla family. The story itself was well-written about the family's background and rise to fame and that it was a long journey to get to where they are today. It was primarily based on they're gigs in the 80's and the transition into the 90's. I did really like Abraham's character in the series, he was more motivational and always push his kids to be better. The humbling experience of playing the Dinos band in restaurant, and making lights out of peach cans. The commitment and strive to want to be successful, the downfall of struggling to come up with successful songs

Character Analysis (Batman and Joker)

Image
Add caption Batman and Joker are the two greatest comic book characters in comic book history in the DC universe. What makes them so interesting is the complexity of they're characters that stand-alone having their own film successful on they're own. Such as the Joker (2019) and the Batman trilogy by (Christopher Nolan) They're both great in side by side comparison, they're total opposites yet share the same motive of the stake of the future of Gotham City. Batman is a superhero with no superpowers, gadgets, intelligence and the motive to protect the innocent from crime with law and order. On the other hand Joker believes in a world of chaos and that people are condemned to fall apart of they're nature to resist order and overlook the protagonist.  Batman is the main protagonist in the story line and is driven to serve justice after the guilt and traumatic experience of losing both his parents when they were gunned down in the streets of Gotham, this led to the tran

He first earned widespread fame for "Pulp Fiction" before directing "Inglorious Bastards" and "Django Unchained" Personally, his films are a cultural classic and entertaining with great memorable dialogue that sparks conversation and are always circling social norms. You're on the edge of your seat and the plot is not predictable, the way the films are made is up to the films are to be interpreted by the audience. The series of all his films are interconnected the films' story line binds together like poetry. A blonde woman, the Japanese kung fu master, the french fox and black fox and th

Cinema is the production of movies as an art of the industry. The short history on how moving images led to the modern invention of films are the Edison Company in the USA successfully developed the prototype of the Kinetoscope, one person at a time was able to view moving pictures.(1891)  (Cinematography or if it is hand drawn it is referred to as animation) Films were only a few minutes. By 1914 the establishment of many film industries were established, they had invested more money in production, distribution and exhibition) The First World War limited the film industry in Europe. In (1909) was when the distribution of color was added to films. Color was not widely used until the three color process in 1932. (Why I am aficionado of Superheros)

Image
Superheros have distilled entertainment to generations of comic book lovers and has stood the test of time by dominating the cinema industry. Marvel and DC Comics have developed characters that are relatable and diverse based on the social norms of society and influences of history throughout decades. These characters have a silhouette that are recognizable and have caught the attention and interests of their audience by resonating the "universal themes" of life to younger audiences coming into the world of age as adolescents. Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko were the creative leading men of the comic book industry in the "Silver Age of Comics" They decided to go against a necessary stamp of acceptance to authorize the approval of comic books when they were working at the Marvel Timely Comics in 1939. (Comic Book Code) Stan Lee was on the bridge of quitting his job as a comic book writer from the strict conditions and the embarrassment of working in the e
